IP Address

The IP Address extension shows your local and public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. Type IPAddress, press Space, choose an address, and press Enter to copy it.

What you can do

  • View the local IPv4 address
  • View the public IPv4 address
  • View the local IPv6 address
  • View the public IPv6 address
  • Copy any available address with one keystroke

Supported address types

  • Local IPv4 - Selects the most appropriate private IPv4 address on your network
  • Public IPv4 - Retrieves your current public IPv4 address from an external service
  • Local IPv6 - Selects the most appropriate local IPv6 address
  • Public IPv6 - Detects an available public IPv6 address

How to use

  • Type IPAddress and press Space to enter the address list
  • Use arrow keys to select the desired address type
  • Press Enter to copy the selected address to the clipboard
  • If an address is unavailable, Sliprail explains that it could not be retrieved
