Sliprail Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 10, 2026

Last updated: July 10, 2026

1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers

Fengcen LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Fengcen," "we," "us," or "our"), provides Sliprail, including the Sliprail website, desktop application, integrated Nora features, cloud and sync features, shared links, accounts, billing, and customer support (collectively, the "Service").

Fengcen LLC is the controller of personal information covered by this Privacy Policy where applicable law uses that term. This Policy explains what information we collect, where it comes from, how and why we use it, when we disclose it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights that may be available to you.

Some Sliprail features operate only on your device. Other features require information to be transmitted to Fengcen or third-party providers. This Policy distinguishes those situations below. The general Fengcen Privacy Policy may also apply to your Fengcen account and shared infrastructure.

2. Information We Collect and Its Sources

2.1 Account, Authentication, and Profile Information

We may collect:

  • Email address, display name, username, avatar, language, time zone, and account preferences
  • Password credentials in protected form
  • Identifiers and basic profile information received when you choose to sign in with Google, GitHub, or another supported identity provider
  • Account status, sign-in events, verification status, and security settings

2.2 Purchases, Subscriptions, and Credits

We may collect products purchased, subscription status, payment status, billing address, tax information, invoices, refunds, plan-credit grants, purchased-credit balances, and credit usage records.

Payment processors such as Stripe generally handle complete payment-card numbers, which we do not ordinarily receive. We receive transaction identifiers and status information needed to administer the purchase.

2.3 Content You Choose to Submit

Depending on the feature, we may process:

  • Nora and other AI prompts, responses, conversation content, model selections, and related metadata
  • Files, images, screenshots, text, links, and other content you submit for analysis, search, sharing, syncing, or support
  • Shared conversations, shared links, synced settings, snippets, bookmarks, and other cloud-synced data
  • Instructions, parameters, and outputs associated with MCP servers, extensions, integrations, or connected tools
  • Support requests, feedback, survey responses, and other communications

2.4 Device, Usage, Security, and Diagnostic Information

When you use the Service, we may automatically collect:

  • IP address and approximate country, region, and city derived from IP
  • Browser type, operating system, app version, device and session identifiers, language, time zone, and network information
  • Features used, access times, pages or screens viewed, model and tool selections, interaction frequency, credit consumption, sync status, referral or campaign information, and basic performance metrics
  • Login events, anti-abuse signals, failed verification results, crash information, error reports, and diagnostic logs
  • Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies used for authentication, security, preferences, analytics, and website functionality

2.5 Information From Third Parties

We may receive information from:

  • Google, GitHub, or another supported identity provider when you use single sign-on
  • Stripe, app stores, resellers, tax providers, banks, and fraud-prevention providers
  • Cloudflare Turnstile and other security providers used to identify automated or abusive activity
  • AI model, search, hosting, support, email, analytics, and connected-tool providers
  • Other users who share content with you or identify you in a support or collaboration context

2.6 Local Files, Screenshots, Clipboard, Camera, Microphone, and Keyboard Input

Installing Sliprail does not by itself cause Fengcen to receive the contents of your local files, screenshots, clipboard, camera, microphone, or continuous keyboard input.

Sliprail may locally access or store such data when you deliberately use or enable a feature that requires it. Examples include file analysis, AI screenshot workflows, file search, clipboard history, voice or media features if offered, and connected tools.

Clipboard history is disabled by default. If you enable it, Sliprail automatically records supported clipboard content on your device according to your retention settings. Recording copied files and images is separately disabled by default. Clipboard cloud sync is also disabled by default. If you separately enable clipboard cloud sync, text clipboard history may be transmitted and stored through the cloud-sync service. Clipboard images and copied files are not uploaded by the clipboard-sync feature and remain on your local device.

Other local content is transmitted only when an online, sync, sharing, support, AI, search, or connected feature requires transmission or when you otherwise choose to send it. Review feature settings and permissions before use.

2.7 Inferences and Aggregated Information

We may derive information such as account-security risk, likely location, feature preferences, and Service performance from the information above. We may also create aggregated or de-identified information that is not reasonably linkable to an individual and use it for analytics, security, research, and product improvement.

3. How We Use Information and Our Legal Bases

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, authenticate, maintain, personalize, and secure Sliprail
  • Create and manage Fengcen accounts, subscriptions, purchases, refunds, entitlements, and credits
  • Process Nora, AI, search, file analysis, cloud sync, shared-link, extension, MCP, and connected-tool requests
  • Synchronize content and settings when you enable cloud sync
  • Respond to support requests, feedback, and other communications
  • Monitor reliability, diagnose problems, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms
  • Develop and improve features using feedback and aggregated, de-identified, or statistical information
  • Send service notices, billing messages, security alerts, and product updates
  • Send marketing communications where you consent or where otherwise permitted by law
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect rights, safety, property, and the integrity of the Service

Where the laws of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction require a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following:

  • Contract, when processing is necessary to provide a feature you request or manage your account and purchases
  • Legitimate interests, such as securing and improving Sliprail, preventing fraud, providing support, and understanding usage, where those interests are not overridden by your rights
  • Consent, where we specifically request it, including for optional device access, cloud sync, or marketing where required
  • Legal obligations, where processing is necessary to comply with law, accounting, tax, sanctions, lawful requests, or dispute requirements

You may decline to provide optional information or keep optional cloud features disabled. If information is necessary to create an account, complete a purchase, secure the Service, or perform a requested online feature, we may be unable to provide that part of the Service without it.

4. Nora, AI, Search, Extensions, and Connected Tools

When you use Nora or another online AI feature, the prompts, files, images, screenshots, conversation content, instructions, outputs, and related metadata needed to fulfill your request may be sent to Fengcen and to the AI, search, hosting, or tool providers that power the feature.

When you install or connect an extension, MCP server, plugin, or other tool, it may access information and device capabilities based on the permissions and actions you approve. Third-party tools may send information to their own providers and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Fengcen does not use the specific content you submit to AI features, or the specific outputs generated from that content, to train Fengcen's own AI models unless we separately ask for and obtain permission. We may use limited operational metadata and aggregated or de-identified information to secure, operate, and improve Sliprail.

Third-party providers may retain or use information under their own policies. Even if Sliprail describes a request as temporary, ephemeral, or non-persistent on our side, we cannot guarantee that a third-party provider will not retain records under its policies.

Do not submit confidential, regulated, or sensitive information unless you have the right to do so and have determined that the selected feature and provider are appropriate for that information.

5. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

5.1 Service Providers

We use providers for hosting, storage, databases, content delivery, analytics, security, anti-abuse verification, identity, payments, tax, email, customer support, and software operations. They may process information only for the services they provide to us or as otherwise permitted by their contracts and applicable law.

5.2 AI, Search, Extensions, and Connected Tools

When you request a feature powered by an AI model, search service, extension, MCP server, integration, or connected tool, we disclose the content and metadata reasonably necessary to complete that request.

5.3 Payment and Sales Partners

We disclose transaction information to payment processors, app stores, resellers, tax providers, banks, and fraud-prevention providers as needed to process and administer purchases, subscriptions, refunds, disputes, and compliance.

5.4 Sharing and Syncing You Initiate

If you create a shared link, publish content, collaborate, enable cloud sync, install or connect a third-party tool, or otherwise direct us to disclose information, the selected information may be accessible to recipients, the public, the extension, or the relevant third party.

5.5 Legal, Safety, and Business Transfers

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with law, regulation, legal process, or a valid government request
  • Enforce agreements and protect the security or integrity of the Service
  • Detect, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, security incidents, or illegal activity
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of Fengcen, users, or the public
  • Support a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements

5.6 With Your Consent

We may disclose information for another purpose with your consent or at your direction.

6. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or process personal information for targeted advertising as those terms are defined by applicable United States state privacy laws.

If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any legally required opt-out mechanism before beginning the new practice.

7. Retention, Account Closure, and Deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, taking into account the nature and sensitivity of the information, the requested feature, account status, your settings, security needs, legal obligations, and limitation periods.

For example:

  • Account and profile information is generally retained while the account is active
  • Cloud-synced content and shared content are retained according to the feature, your settings, and deletion actions
  • Transaction, invoice, tax, refund, and accounting records may be retained for legally required periods
  • Security, anti-fraud, and diagnostic records may be retained as needed to protect the Service and investigate incidents
  • Local-only data remains on your device until you delete it or the applicable local retention rule removes it
  • De-identified information may be retained where it can no longer reasonably be linked to you

Closing an account removes access and initiates deletion or de-identification of information that is not required for a continuing legitimate purpose. Some information may remain in backups for a limited cycle or be retained for legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, security, dispute, and enforcement purposes. We restrict retained information to those purposes and delete or de-identify it when the applicable need ends.

Uninstalling Sliprail does not necessarily remove all local data. Use the relevant in-product deletion controls or your operating system's application-data controls if you want to remove local data.

8. Security

We use commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission, processing, or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You should use a strong, unique password, protect your devices, review extension permissions, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access.

9. International Data Transfers

Fengcen is based in the United States. We and our providers may process information in the United States and other jurisdictions where we or they operate. Those jurisdictions may have data-protection laws that differ from the laws where you live.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we use a legally recognized transfer basis or take other measures required by law, which may include contractual protections. You may contact us for additional information about safeguards relevant to your information.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and how you use Sliprail, you may have rights to:

  • Access or obtain a copy of personal information
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Delete personal information
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Receive certain information in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal
  • Opt out of certain marketing communications
  • Lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority

Residents of jurisdictions with United States state privacy laws may also have rights to know categories and specific pieces of information, correct, delete, obtain portability, opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling, appeal a denied request, and receive equal service without unlawful discrimination. We do not currently engage in sale, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, or targeted advertising as described above.

You can manage many choices through Sliprail settings, including cloud sync, clipboard history, clipboard cloud sync, sharing, conversation history, and extension permissions where available.

To submit a privacy request, email support@fengcen.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and direct identity verification. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any available appeal process.

Some rights are subject to exceptions, including where information is needed to complete a transaction, protect security, comply with law, preserve legal claims, or exercise free-expression or other rights.

11. Cookies, Analytics, and Marketing

You can control many cookies and similar technologies through browser or device settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent account, security, payment, or other core features from functioning.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message or by contacting us. Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send non-promotional communications about your account, transactions, security, or material Service changes.

Browser "Do Not Track" signals are not interpreted consistently across the industry. Where required, we honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals for practices to which those signals apply. Because we do not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, such signals do not change those practices.

12. Children's Privacy

Sliprail is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If local law requires a higher age for a child to consent to data processing, a parent or legal guardian must provide any required permission. If you believe a child provided information without required permission, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in Sliprail, our practices, or legal obligations. The updated Policy will state a new effective date. We will provide additional notice of material changes where required by law. Changes do not reduce rights that have already accrued under applicable law.
